U.S. Government Transferring Silk Road Seized BTC or Just Routine Funding Transfers
In a post on X, on-chain analyst @ai_9684xtpa said that the U.S. government-tagged address transferred about $2 billion worth of BTC. The address from which about 29,800 bitcoins were transferred was used to store a portion of the tokens seized by Silk Road (69,369 tokens in total) in November 2020, with the last operation taking place four months ago. This operation could be for a sale, or it could just be a routine transfer of funds, as there was also a wallet transfer on 2 April, depending on what happens.
