Vitalik: We should be wary of the "smart" label on smart wallets, and pay attention to whether the wallet design truly enhances security
Regarding the probability of smart wallets, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated on social media, "By default, we should actually be skeptical of the popular term 'smart', because historically it often serves as a cool way to package problems such as centralized control and data leakage (see many 'smart home' products). We need to ask specific questions. Does the design of the wallet truly extend boundaries in protecting users from centralized malicious actions and their own mistakes? Well-designed wallets indeed do this. Poorly designed ones might produce the opposite effect."
