Cyvers Alerts: Cork Protocol Suspected to Be Attacked, Losses Estimated at $12 Million
Cyvers Alerts posted on platform X stating that the system detected a suspected attack on Cork Protocol, with an estimated loss of approximately $12 million.
On May 28, 2025, at 11:23:19 UTC, the attacker deployed a malicious contract, funded by the address 0x4771…762B (possibly a service provider).
Just 16 minutes and 45 seconds later, the attacker launched the attack, successfully obtaining 3,761.87 wstETH, which was quickly exchanged for ETH. The funds have not yet been transferred to other addresses.
