Near community initiates proposal to reduce NEAR token’s fixed annual inflation rate from 5% to 2.5%

According to Jinse Finance, NEAR Protocol’s official team announced that the community has initiated a proposal vote to reduce NEAR token’s fixed annual inflation rate from 5% to 2.5%, with plans to allow flexible adjustments in the future. The voting will conclude under one of the following two conditions: 1) More than two-thirds of the staked shares cast a “yes” vote; 2) The deadline is reached (August 1, 2025, 8:00 AM, GMT+8).
