Two South Korean financial institutions have applied for won stablecoin trademarks
Odaily Planet Daily News: South Korea's IBK Industrial Bank and Shinhan Financial Group have applied for trademarks related to Korean won stablecoins. Reportedly, on the 27th, IBK Industrial Bank filed for 10 trademarks including "IBKKRW," "IBKRW," and "ONEIBK." These trademarks are intended for use in areas such as "stablecoin electronic transfer services" and "blockchain-based digital financial asset management services." On the 26th, Shinhan Financial Group applied for 21 stablecoin-related trademarks, including "KRWSHB," "SFGKRW," and "SHKRW." The application covers areas such as "cryptocurrency financial transaction services" and "cryptocurrency intermediary services." (Sedaily)
