Former UK National Crime Agency Officer Sentenced to Over 5 Years in Prison for Stealing 50 Bitcoins
Foresight News reports that former UK National Crime Agency officer Paul Chowles was sentenced to over five years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday for stealing Bitcoin. At the time of the theft, the 50 Bitcoins were worth only £60,000 ($77,400), but they are now valued at approximately £4.4 million ($5.9 million).
