Robot project Generative Bionics completes $80 million financing round with participation from Tether and others
Foresight News: According to The Block, the robotics project Generative Bionics has completed an $80 million funding round, with participation from Tether and others. The company, spun off from the Italian Institute of Technology, focuses on developing "physical AI" humanoid robots capable of operating in high-risk or high-load industrial environments, aiming to perform handling, dragging, and repetitive tasks that traditional robotic arms struggle with.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that this investment is an important step in the company's strategy towards "digital and physical infrastructure," aiming to reduce reliance on centralized systems of large tech companies and to support technological innovations that can enhance societal resilience.
