It’s still trading below both the 50-day and 200-day EMAs, which isn’t a good sign. A death cross seems to be forming, and that usually signals more downside ahead. On top of that, LINK looks like it’s building a bearish pennant pattern, which could push it back toward $15, and if that level breaks, the next possible support might be around $12.6. The only thing that could flip the setup bullish is if LINK somehow climbs above $20, which would open the way to $25 resistance. Now, what’s interesting is that despite this weak chart, Chainlink’s Strategic LINK Reserves have grown to over $10 million, and whales have been accumulating more tokens. Exchange balances have also dropped, which usually shows that investors are holding instead of selling. That’s a good sign for the long run, even if the short-term chart still looks heavy. As for XRP, it’s going through a similar phase. The token is trading around $2.41 and has fallen roughly 34% from its yearly high. Like LINK, XRP’s moving averages are tightening, and it looks very close to forming a death cross as well. The last time this happened in 2021, XRP crashed by about 65%, so it’s definitely something to keep an eye on. If the same pattern plays out again, the next possible downside target could be near $1.37. What makes this tricky is that XRP’s fundamentals are actually strong. The XRP ETFs have been doing well, one of them already passing $100 million in assets. The Ripple USD stablecoin is also growing fast, and the ecosystem around real-world assets is expanding steadily. But even with all these positives, insider selling and the slower network activity have started to weigh on sentiment. So overall, both LINK and XRP are showing good fundamentals but weak technical setups. The charts suggest that short-term pressure could continue, while the long-term picture still looks promising if these key supports hold.
