Bitcoin 於週日晚間再次跌破 $90,000 大關，同時中心化加密貨幣交易所的 BTC 儲備持續大幅下降。交易所餘額目前已降至自 2018 年秋季 以來的最低水平，突顯出投資者行為的重大轉變。
根據鏈上數據分析公司 CryptoQuant 最新數據，過去三個月內，投資者已從 Binance、Coinbase 和 Kraken 等主要交易所提取超過 196,000 枚 Bitcoin，價值約 $17.4 billion。這一趨勢自今年春季初開始加速。
在 9 月 14 日，中心化交易所合計持有約 2.952 million BTC。該數字現已降至約 2.755 million BTC。因此，目前僅有 13.1% 的 Bitcoin 總發行量 存放於中心化交易所。乍看之下，這表明越來越多投資者正在踐行長久以來的 cypherpunk 原則：“Not your keys, not your coins.”
針對 Binance 上 Bitcoin 儲備下降，CryptoQuant 近期報告指出：
「當市場上漲時，長期持有者和大型投資者傾向於將 BTC 從交易所轉移至冷錢包，從而減少潛在的拋售壓力。」

然而，另一種解釋正逐漸獲得認同。美國對加密貨幣友善的監管進展，正鼓勵更多傳統金融機構提供自有託管解決方案。同時，像 MicroStrategy 這樣的 Bitcoin 金庫公司，以及美國 spot Bitcoin ETF，自年初以來已累積數十萬枚 BTC。這些持倉通常存放於傳統交易所基礎設施之外。
因此，交易所餘額下降並不必然意味著即將出現「供應衝擊」。Bitcoin 歷史顯示，交易所流出量並非價格上漲的可靠單一指標。例如在 2021 年，大規模提幣並未阻止中國加密禁令引發的價格暴跌。
