What is Camelot Token (GRAIL)?
Camelot is a decentralized and community-driven DeFi ecosystem on Arbitrum. The goal of Camelot is to create a supportive and sustainable environment on Arbitrum for decentralized applications to run and grow. Their products are innovative and feature-rich.
The Camelot protocol has two native tokens, Camelot Token (GRAIL) and Camelot Escrowed Token (xGRAIL). The former can be received as yield rewards from staked positions or spNFT; the latter is a non-transferable escrowed governance token that users can only get through GRAIL conversion or staked positions.
The project was launched towards the end of 2022.
How Camelot Token (GRAIL) Works
The current Camelot ecosystem consists of:
- AMM, the core of Camelot that uses two cutting-edge technologies known as dual-liquidity and dynamic directional fees. The former divides liquidity pairs into two types and applies a different formula for each to ensure better swapping rates, while the latter allows configuration of swap fees based on the pair and whether it is a buying or selling transaction.
- Staked position is a new approach of staking and yield farming, in which users provide liquidity in exchange for spNFT (staked position NFT) as a type of deposit credit. SpNFTs introduce various novel ways to earn yields, which are split into GRAIL and xGRAIL tokens.
- Nitro Pools are where any spNFTs can be staked to generate extra rewards.
- xGRAIL plugins are smart contracts that allow users to make additional income from xGRAIL.
- DAO is the place where xGRAIL holders take part in deciding the operation and future of Camelot.
