What is Qredo (QRDO)?
Qredo is a layer-2 blockchain that has built-in compliance and governance controls. The protocol uses multi-party computation to generate segregated deposit addresses and eliminate the risk of private key theft. Qredo's design aims to eliminate counterparty risks for liquidity providers, market makers, and traders by mapping all deposits and holdings 1-to-1 to the underlying Layer 1blockchain and making them visible through the Qredo block explorer. The blockchain was created in 2018 by Anthony Foy and Brian Spector.
How Qredo (QRDO) Works
Qredo Network is a secure and reliable clearing and settlement network designed for professional investors to transfer digital assets instantly. It offers various benefits, such as no clearing and settlement risk, zero counterparty risk, and eradication of digital asset theft. Additionally, Qredo Network has independent governance, eliminating the need for third-party dependencies. The blockchain charges no fees for internal transactions, but charges for external transfers and asset deployment. Such fees must be paid in QRDO, USDT, or USDC with a 15% discount for QRDO payments.
Qredo also offers two more integral products:
- Qredo Wallet is a digital wallet that helps manage digital asset portfolios securely and quickly. It offers institutional-grade secure crypto storage, peer-to-peer transfers, and cross-chain swaps. Users can manage digital assets, customize governance rules, monitor transactions, and control access. The wallet uses an MPC network instead of generating individual private keys for each user. It integrates Qredo Swaps to enable users exchange crypto assets across different blockchains instantly with minimal fees.
- Qredo Signing App is a secure multi-factor authentication tool for the Qredo Network that enables users to approve transactions and changes to their account settings.
