Walken is a mobile app that rewards users with WLKN tokens for exercise and in-app game play. The app also allows users to create NFTs that can be bought and sold in NFT marketplaces. Walken was co-founded by Alexei Kulevets, Alexei Porodzinsky, and Konstantin Kozlovsky in 2022.
How Walken (WLKN) Works
Walken uses smartphone and wearable device movement detection to capture user steps, which are then converted into GEMs to upgrade the user's character. The app provides incentives for users to live a healthier lifestyle, and features unique and customizable CAThletes. The social sharing feature allows users to share their accomplishments and create leaderboards. Users can participate in battles using their CAThletes, which can be obtained through the NFT Marketplace or crossbreeding.
WLKN token is the native governance and utility token used to enhance user experience, provide income, and use in DeFi applications. Users earn the token by participating in battles and can stake it to earn rewards. The tokens can also be used to buy items on the Marketplace and upgrade NFT characters.
