Miner CleanSpark Buys 12,500 Bitcoin Miners for $40.5 Million
Bitcoin miner CleanSpark has bought another 12,500 Bitcoin mining machines for $40.5 million, the latest in a series of purchases made during the market downturn, CoinDesk reports. The machines will add 1.76 EH/s of computing power to CleanSpark's operations. This brings it closer to its goal of 16 EH/s by the end of 2023. As of the end of April, the company had 6.7 EH/s of mining capacity. The press release states that the first 6,000 Bitmain Antminer S19 XP miners will be shipped by the manufacturer in June, with the rest to be shipped in August.
In April, CleanSpark spent $145 million on 45,000 bitcoin miners.
