Nearly 1,000 new crypto entities have been registered in the EU in 2023
According to statistics provided by the official registry of EU member states, DL News found that by the end of 2023, there will be at least 11,597 registered cryptographic entities among the 27 EU member states. Nearly 1,000 new cryptographic entities will be registered in the EU in 2023.
The total number of entities registered in the EU during 2023 does not include entities in the Czech Republic, as the Czech Republic has not provided DL News with the latest data since May 2022.
According to previous data, Czech has registered 9,372 VASPs and is in a leading position in the registration of cryptocurrencies. The problem is that about 83% of the entities registered in the Czech Republic are individuals rather than companies, which may cause bias in the results.
Following closely behind is Poland, which has 1,067 cryptographic service providers in its publicly available registry. (DL News)
