Affected by the inscription trading activity, zkSync's monthly transaction volume surpasses that of the Ethereum mainnet
According to The Block, Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution zkSync has processed more transactions in the past month than the Ethereum mainnet. According to L2Beat data, zkSync has processed 34.7 million transactions in the past 30 days, surpassing the Ethereum mainnet's 34.2 million transactions during the same period. Following closely behind is Arbitrum, which has processed 31.4 million transactions in the past 30 days. The surge in zkSync's transaction volume can be attributed to the popularity of "syncing" activities, a feature originally created on Bitcoin and later expanded to EVM networks including most Layer 2 chains. On December 16th, when sync syncing was launched on the network, zkSync experienced its largest monthly transaction surge, processing a total of 5.3 million transactions that day, with 4.6 million of them being related to syncing activities.
