Vitalik proposes to increase the Ethereum network Gas limit to 40 million
According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin suggested in a Reddit AMA that the Gas limit of the Ethereum network should be raised to 40 million to increase network throughput. Vitalik stated that the Gas limit has not been increased for nearly three years, which is the longest time in Ethereum's history. According to data from Etherscan, the current Gas limit is 30 million, meaning an increase of 33%.
