U.S. Stock Futures Down About 0.1% on Monday; COMEX Copper in New York Rises Over 1.1%
On Monday (January 15), during the New York closing session, SP 500 stock futures finally fell by 0.09%, Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) futures dropped by 0.06%, and NASDAQ 100 stock futures declined by 0.02%. Russell 2000 stock futures rose by 0.01%. Due to the closure of the U.S. stock and bond markets, U.S. stock futures concluded trading well before 02:00 Beijing time, significantly earlier than the usual 06:00 closing time. WTI crude oil futures fell by 0.25%, reaching $72.61 per barrel. COMEX gold futures increased by 0.36%, reaching $2059.00 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures rose by 0.26%. COMEX copper futures surged by 1.15%, reaching $3.7837 per pound.
