Microsoft to Invest $2.1 Billion in AI and Cloud Infrastructure Expansion in Spain
Microsoft has announced a $2.1 billion investment in Spain to expand its artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure. The investment will be used to establish a "Cloud Region" with data centers in Madrid and Aragon, as well as to develop AI solutions to improve the government's efficiency and cyber security applications. The move is Microsoft's largest investment in Spain in nearly four decades and is expected to generate 69,000 new jobs by 2030. This investment strategy reflects Microsoft's aim to strengthen its competitive position against industry giants like Google.
