Value of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin Position Briefly Surpasses $12.2 Billion
The total value of MicroStrategy's position in Bitcoin touched a high of $12.24 billion at around 5:25 a.m. GMT on Thursday as the price of Bitcoin surpassed $60,000, according to crypto data tracker Drops Tab. It has since dropped to $11.7 billion, up 5.9 percent in the past 24 hours. Gold Finance previously reported that MicroStrategy purchased 3,000 bitcoins worth $155 million on Feb. 26, after which the company's total bitcoin holdings reached 193,000 units.
