Manta Co-founder: Only a few Ethereum L2s will survive in the next 5 years
According to Cointelegraph, Manta Pacific co-founder Kenny Li said that of the 44 Ethereum second-layer blockchains currently active, only a few will survive the next five years. Li believes that the large number of new layer 2 emerging on the Ethereum network is repeating the mistakes of past "forks" of the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks. In Li's view, the core problem with all "forks" of Bitcoin and Ethereum is that they are built in monoliths, meaning they cannot quickly integrate and adopt new technologies that emerge over time.
