CoinShares Completes Acquisition of Valkyrie ETF Business
CoinShares, a digital asset investment firm, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Valkyrie Funds LLC ("Valkyrie").CoinShares has held an option to acquire Valkyrie since November 2023, the option was Valkyrie Ivestments' launch of the Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund BRRR in January 2024. coinShares plans to grow its U.S. asset management business utilizing the Valkyrie ETF infrastructure with a clear focus on product innovation and market changes. The acquisition brings $530 million in additional assets to CoinSharesAfter the acquisition was completed, CoinShares initiated the seamless integration of Valkyrie into its branded portfolio process, an integration that centered enough on the strategic decision to rebrand Valkyrie to launch as CoinShares. The program is expected to be completed this summer.
