AirDAO suffered a hacker attack and lost approximately US$868,000
According to ChainCatcher news, the AirDAO team has confirmed that 35.2 million AMB and 125.51 ETH (approximately $868,000) were stolen from its AMB/ETH Uniswap pool. The team is working with the exchange and relevant agencies to identify the hackers and recover all stolen funds. If the hacker returns the funds immediately, 10% of the white hat hacking fee will be paid; if the hacker does not cooperate, cooperation with law enforcement will continue.
The hacker’s wallet address is 0xFD1754f6Cb9DA53c6F26E3E2eE3DE875CC11C7AA. They gained access to the LP through a social engineering scam in an email with a malicious attachment, impersonating a known partner. The team has contacted the trading platform used by the hackers to trace and freeze the stolen funds.
This was an isolated theft from a liquidity pool. This will not affect users’ funds on the AirDAO blockchain or trading platform, nor will AirDAO’s multisig be affected.
