OpenAI announces that users can use ChatGPT directly without registration

On Monday (April 1), local time, OpenAI announced that it will allow users to use ChatGPT directly without registering for the service.

OpenAI stated that it will gradually roll out this feature from Monday, allowing over 100 million users in 185 countries and regions to use ChatGPT to learn new things, find creative inspiration, and get answers to questions.

OpenAI also said that it has introduced additional content protection measures for users who can access ChatGPT without registration, such as blocking prompts and generation in a wider range of categories. However, these categories were not specifically mentioned.

In addition to the free version of ChatGPT (i.e., ChatGPT3.5), OpenAI continues to offer paid versions for individual users, team users and businesses.

The company also claimed that it may use content provided by users to help improve its large language model but added that users can turn off this feature.
