Three major U.S. stock indexes open higher
U.S. stocks opened, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.04%, the S&P 500 Index rising 0.13%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rising 0.22%. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSM.N) rose 2.5% after receiving $11.6 billion in funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Tesla (TSLA.O) rose more than 2% after the company announced it would launch driverless taxis.
