U.S. SEC Wells’ notice against Uniswap raises questions about policy enforcement consistency
Mars Finance News, Adam Cochran of Cinneamhain Ventures said that the SEC’s latest action against the decentralized cryptocurrency exchange Uniswap violates its policy guidelines for many years. The SEC argued that "because execution occurs on a separate system, matching, routing, communication and ordering as a computer service system" does not meet the overall definition of an "exchange," while stating that "in this case, as long as Their messaging interface doesn't clear and settle these trades, and just because it's the primary listing location for assets, it's no longer an exchange."
