Chairman of the Russian State Duma Financial Markets Committee: Digital financial assets may replace fiat currency for international payments
According to Jinse Finance, Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Financial Market Committee of the Russian State Duma, stated that digital financial assets issued by institutions regulated by central banks can replace traditional channels for international settlements. Aksakov also acknowledged that although digital assets are not controlled in this usage scenario, they have been used for international payment settlements.
