Lawyer rebuttal: CZ should be sentenced to probation instead of imprisonment
The lawyer for Binance founder CZ submitted a rebuttal in court arguing that CZ should be sentenced to probation instead of imprisonment. Previously, it was reported that in a sentencing memo submitted by US Department of Justice lawyers on Tuesday evening, CZ admitted to violating the Bank Secrecy Act and was recommended to be sentenced to 36 months in prison and pay a fine of $50 million.
