Fed minutes: vast majority of members support cutting rates by 50 basis points
Federal Reserve minutes show that the vast majority of members of the September meeting support the rate cut by 50 basis points; ‘some’ officials would have preferred a 25 basis point cut; some participants pointed out that the July meeting there are reasonable grounds for a 25 basis point cut in interest rates.
