Tether Report: The number of USDT on-chain users exceeds 330 million

Tether announced that by the end of the third quarter of 2024, there were 330 million on-chain wallets and accounts (user agents) that had received USDT. The number of new users each quarter was more than the previous one, with an average growth rate of 9% over the past four quarters. The third quarter of 2024 was its fastest-growing period to date, welcoming 36.25 million users.

Tether stated that USDT is most used on Tron, Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. The fastest growth in the past year came from Ethereum Layer2: Optimism, Arbitrum and Polygon, as well as Avalanche and Solana. USDT experienced explosive growth on TON, adding 3.3 million users in just six months, accounting for 1% of all USDT on-chain users.
