All three major U.S. stock indexes close at new record highs
U.S. stocks opened higher, the three major indexes closed at new record highs. The Dow rose 3.57 per cent, the Nasdaq rose 2.95 per cent and the S&P 500 rose 2.53 per cent. The U.S. Philadelphia Bank Index rose more than 10 per cent to a new high since March 2022. Most of the large technology stocks rose, Tesla jumped more than 14%, a new high since July 2023; Intel rose more than 7%, Nvidia, Google rose about 4%.
