Powell: Election results have no impact on near-term policy
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said at a press conference that, for now, the central bank is not considering the outcome of this week's election in its decision-making choices. He stated, ‘In the near term, the election will not have any impact on our policy decisions. Although Donald Trump took office after potentially implementing policies that widen deficits and push up inflation, we do not guess, speculate, or assume what the future policy choices of the administration will be.’
