StarkWare Co-founder and CEO Eli Ben-Sasson: Open source prover Stwo is expected to launch the mainnet in Q1 next year
On November 13th, Bitlayer hosted the Bitcoin Next Summit in Bangkok, which focused on the next upgrade of Bitcoin and BTCFi. Eli Ben-Sasson, co-founder and CEO of StarkWare, stated at the summit that StarkWare is a leader in many areas including Cairo, Stwo (STARK Two), and Bitcoin research. Currently, StarkWare's open-source proof verifier, Stwo (which supports OP_CAT), has been launched on the Bitcoin testnet, and the team has set up $1 million in funding for OP_CAT research. In addition, Eli Ben-Sasson revealed that the Stwo mainnet is expected to launch in Q1 2025.
