Insider: Trump administration may cancel cryptocurrency committee plan and hold industry summit instead
according to Unchained, the Trump administration may not launch the formal "cryptocurrency committee" as previously promised, but instead plans to hold a series of industry summits on specific cryptocurrency policy issues.
According to three sources familiar with the matter, these summits will invite different cryptocurrency industry leaders to participate in turn. The initial meetings are expected to focus on topics such as banking, payments, data centers, and bitcoin mining. Several industry associations are currently providing suggestions on relevant proposals.
Sources said that the plan to hold summits is seen as a measure to avoid conflicts between different factions within the cryptocurrency industry. These differences mainly exist between centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency projects, bitcoin maximalists and supporters of alternative coins, and groups that support or oppose traditional financial integration.
