A U.S. judge held a hearing on DOGE on a holiday, a rare event
On February 17th, a US judge rare arranged a court hearing on a Monday holiday, filed by the Democratic state attorney general, aimed at protecting major federal agencies from the influence of "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE) led by Musk. The judge did not explain why the hearing was held, but on Friday, she heard arguments from 13 Democratic state attorneys general for a temporary restraining order aimed at preventing the DOGE team from accessing information systems of several government agencies, including the Department of Labor, Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce, and Office of Personnel Management.
