Chinese court rules cryptocurrency investment contract invalid
On February 21st, according to Man Kwan: Recently, the High Court of Jiangsu Province issued a typical case involving foreign affairs. In the case, a Singaporean investor collaborated with a Chinese citizen to invest in cryptocurrency. The court ruled the contract as "invalid, risk borne by oneself", and the Singaporean investor's millions of principal were lost. The Chinese court directly ruled the contract as invalid, with the reason being: cryptocurrency investment in China is considered as illegal financial activity, violating public order and good customs.
