Citibank: The likelihood of the United States establishing a cryptographic strategic reserve has greatly increased, but more details are needed
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Citibank stated in a research report that the possibility of the United States establishing a crypto strategic reserve seems to have increased further after Trump announced over the weekend that XRP, SOL, ADA, BTC and ETH will be included in the crypto strategic reserve. Analyst Alex Saunders believes that if the U.S. government announces further plans to become a strategic holder of digital assets, it would enhance the legitimacy of this asset class.
Citibank pointed out that the U.S. government currently holds about $19 billion in cryptocurrency, mainly Bitcoin, while its gold holdings reach $750 billion. The bank said clarifying which tokens will be included in reserves could provide more support.
