Data: The counterfeit coin seasonal index has hit bottom and rebounded, currently reported at 21
According to Coinmarketcap data, the Altcoin Season Index recently hit its lowest level of 13 since September 3, 2024, and has now rebounded to 21, still significantly lower than the February average of 43 points.
The altcoin index has been declining since it reached an annual high of 87 on December 4, 2024. In the past 90 days, only 15 out of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market value have seen gains surpassing Bitcoin.
