The White House is pushing for stablecoin legislation to be submitted to the Senate for review next month
According to Crypto in America, the White House is actively pushing for the "GENIUS Act" to enter Senate deliberation as soon as possible and aims for it to be signed into law by President Trump within two months. The bill was passed by the Senate Banking Committee on March 13th with an 18-6 vote, proposing a regulatory framework for payment stablecoins pegged to the dollar. The House version of the "STABLE Act" will begin deliberations on April 2nd. The White House hopes that the Senate version will gain enough support to push through direct approval from the House, avoiding legislative negotiation procedures.
