BlackRock appoints Anchorage Digital as additional custodian for its spot crypto ETP
crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett revealed that Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. has been designated as the additional custodian for supporting spot crypto ETPs and other BlackRock funds that provide exposure to crypto assets. As of April 3, 2025, BlackRock is the world's largest issuer of spot crypto ETPs, with assets under management reaching $500 billion.
Through Anchorage, BlackRock can now access digital asset custody services, staking services, settlement services, and on-chain governance solutions. This is a significant strategic move for the company.
