Manta Network founder reveals suspected Lazarus used Zoom to launch phishing attacks
Kenny Li, co-founder of Manta Network, disclosed a highly sophisticated phishing attack. The attacker used a real team member's recorded video footage during a Zoom video call, attempting to trick them into downloading malicious software. Li stated that during the video call, the other party's camera was on and the facial image was real, but no sound could be heard. The system prompted the need to update Zoom and download a script file, which raised his suspicion. He believes this attack may have been launched by the North Korean state-sponsored hacker group Lazarus. The attacker, after being asked to verify their identity through Telegram, immediately deleted all messages and blocked them.
