Ethereum to Improve User Experience with New Interoperable Address Standard

On May 1st, the Ethereum core development team is about to complete the development of two key standards aimed at addressing the challenge of address identification in cross-chain interactions. The ERC-7828 and ERC-7930 standards are expected to be officially finalized on May 9th, and are currently undergoing final community feedback on the Ethereum Magicians forum. It is understood that the ERC-7930 standard will provide a unified network identification format for the system, while the ERC-7828 standard is dedicated to converting complex cryptographic addresses into a more recognizable "name@service" format. This improvement will effectively reduce the risk of asset loss caused by user errors in network selection.

It is worth noting that the Ethereum Pectra upgrade is scheduled to be deployed to the mainnet on May 7th. The upgrade was originally scheduled for release in March 2025, but was delayed due to technical issues on the Holesky testnet. The development team has stated that the current operation on the Hoodi testnet is stable.
