Analyst: Four Major Threats to American Exceptionalism, Trump's Manufacturing Repatriation Plan Will Fail

However, this position is facing four major threats: heavy taxes on capital flows, policy shifts weakening technology and healthcare monopolies, the failure of the judicial system to check government power, and a continuous decline in productivity. Peters believes that the Trump administration's efforts to bring manufacturing back will fail because vested interest groups will not allow changes to the current state of cheap labor markets and loose capital regulation.
