Levitt: Trump disagrees with Moody's assessment
White House Press Secretary Levitt said that Trump does not agree with Moody's assessment. Earlier, Moody's downgraded the US sovereign credit rating from Aaa to Aa1, with a "stable" outlook. The reason for the downgrade is that the government debt and interest payment ratio continue to rise, and the fiscal deficit is expected to reach close to 9% of GDP by 2035. This is Moody's first downgrade of the US rating since 1917, and the US has also lost its AAA top rating from all three major credit rating agencies.
