ZKsync Launches Open-Source RISC-V zkEVM “ZKsync Airbender”
According to Jinse Finance, Ethereum Layer 2 network ZKsync has announced the launch of its open-source RISC-V zkVM, “ZKsync Airbender,” which enables rapid verification of Ethereum transactions on a single GPU. For example, on an H100 GPU, “ZKsync Airbender” can achieve a basic verification speed of approximately 21.8 MHz, about 3.45 MHz on SP1 Turbo, and around 1.1 MHz on RisZero. This means that ZKsync OS (ZKsync’s zkEVM execution environment) can achieve end-to-end Ethereum block proofs on a single GPU within 35 seconds, thereby reducing on-chain costs. It is reported that ZKsync Airbender has already completed internal audits and is currently in the early testing phase.
