Cosmos: Will Suspend the Launch of the EVM Platform on Cosmos Hub
Foresight News reports that Cosmos has reviewed the achievements of the new Cosmos over the past six months and outlined its future development path, stating that it will focus on the advantages of the Cosmos Stack and Cosmos Hub as a Layer-1 ecosystem in the next six months. Recent work has shown that launching a virtual machine on the Hub is costly, may disrupt the user experience for the Hub’s most important users, and would require significant resources and time to catch up with existing L1 ecosystems. Therefore, Cosmos has decided to pause the launch of an EVM platform on Cosmos Hub, but will continue to invest in the Cosmos EVM L1 stack to support builders in launching independent EVM chains.
