Spanish Lawmakers Call for “Traffic Light” Risk Warnings on Crypto Assets
According to ChainCatcher, citing Cryptonews, Spanish lawmakers are calling on the country's financial regulators to implement a "traffic light" risk warning system for crypto assets.
This system will classify crypto assets into four levels—green, yellow, orange, and red—based on their registration, backing, regulatory status, and market performance stability.
Green indicates assets that are well-registered, backed, and regulated; yellow refers to assets with "limited backing" or moderate volatility; orange denotes unregulated, high-risk assets; and red is reserved for speculative assets with "no clear issuer or substantial backing."
