TD Securities: Market Skeptical of US Tariff Threats, Focus Shifts to Economic Data
According to a report by TD Securities strategists cited by Jinse Finance, the market is no longer focused on tariff announcements due to skepticism about some of the tariff threats from the United States. The U.S. has announced a 50% tariff on India, a 39% tariff on Switzerland, a 35% tariff on certain Canadian imports, as well as tariffs on other trading partners. The market's main concern is the impact of these tariffs on economic data and the anticipated rate cuts by the Federal Reserve. Overall, the market remains orderly, partly because there is doubt regarding some of Trump's more extreme threats.
