Analysis: US National Debt Surpasses $37 Trillion for the First Time, Debt Crisis Worsens
BlockBeats News, August 9—According to The Kobeissi Letter, the total U.S. national debt has officially surpassed $37 trillion for the first time in history today. Since July 4, when Trump signed the "Beautiful Act" and raised the debt ceiling, the U.S. national debt has increased by another $780 billion, which averages out to an increase of $2.2 billion per day.
Just last week, the U.S. government issued $724 billion in Treasury bonds through 10 separate sales, making the U.S. debt crisis more severe than ever before.
