The White House says the deal between the government and Intel is still under discussion.
Jinse Finance reported that the White House stated on Thursday that the agreement between Intel (INTC.O) and Trump to transfer a 10% stake to the U.S. government is still under discussion. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the deal is currently being implemented by the Department of Commerce. "Intel's deal is still being finalized by the Department of Commerce," Jean-Pierre said. "Details are still being completed, and it remains in the discussion stage." A White House official added that some aspects of the deal (especially the Department of Defense's $3 billion "secure enclave" project) have not yet been fully implemented. Intel's CFO revealed at an investor conference on Thursday that the company received $5.7 billion in cash on Wednesday evening as part of the agreement.
