US SEC Releases Agenda to Amend Cryptocurrency Regulations and Ease Wall Street Rules
Foresight News reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially released its regulatory agenda for the coming months, proposing rules related to the issuance and sale of cryptocurrencies, which may include exemption and safe harbor provisions. The SEC is also considering allowing crypto assets to be traded on national securities exchanges and alternative trading systems. In addition, the SEC plans to simplify Wall Street disclosure requirements to reduce industry compliance burdens. Previously, the SEC had withdrawn lawsuits against certain crypto trading platforms such as exchanges.
